The Urban League of the Upstate is hosting a back to school drive for the 2020-2021 school year. Whether your children will be receiving in-person or virtual learning, they will need supplies and we want to ensure they get what they need for a successful school year.
The drive will take place Friday, July 31 from 4-7 p.m. at Early Goat Coffee Co. located at 1801 Rutherford Rd. You will be able to drop off supplies, register to vote, sign your children up for our Project Ready program, learn more about the Urban League, and try some cold brew coffee!
Here are the supplies we’re looking for:
- Backpacks
- Calculators
- Clear tape
- Crayons/Colored pencils/Markers
- Disinfecting Wipes
- Dividers
- Erasers
- Folders (with & without prongs)
- Glue sticks
- Graph paper
- Hand sanitizer
- Headphones
- Highlighters
- Index cards
- Masks* (adult & child size)
- Notebooks (composition & spiral-bound)
- Notebook paper (college & wide-ruled)
- Pencils/pens
- Pencil sharpeners
- Post-It Notes
- Protractors
- Rulers
- Scissors
- 3-ring binders
- Tissue
- USB flash drives
- White-out
*We are also asking for donations of $3.25 or more to mass produce masks. Donations can be made to our Cash App, $UL864, with “Mask Donation” in the memo.
