We are pleased to announce the winners of Denny’s Hungry For Education Scholarship. Each year Denny’s partners with the Urban League to offer a scholarship to two deserving students.

The scholarship requires students to write an essay on how Denny’s can help put an end to childhood hunger in their local communities. This year, Queen Onukogu of Greenville and Jacob Mossbrook of Spartanburg were the chosen recipients and awarded $1,000 for college.

Queen’s essay talked about adopting sustainable farming techniques to enable adaptation to climate change. Jacob’s essay focused on education as a way to combat poverty, which would lead to less hunger.

Congratulations to these two young, bright minds!
